Methodology: How Indian Gift Cards Compiles and Ranks Data
The rules this site operates under. They are deliberately strict, and they apply to every platform identically.
1. Independence
Indian Gift Cards is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any commercial relationship with any platform it covers. There are no referral codes or paid placements anywhere on the site. No platform receives preferential treatment in data, ranking, layout or language — every platform, large or small, is rendered by the same templates from the same dataset.
2. Sources, in order of preference
First, the platform's own official website — product pages, pricing and checkout flows. Second, where a platform does not publish a metric, top-ranked published comparisons, always with the source recorded and linked. If a figure exists in neither place, it is shown as Not Disclosed. We never estimate, infer, average or invent a number.
3. Rankings are computed, never written
Where a page ranks platforms, the order is calculated at build time from the dataset by a sort function — highest published discount score first, fastest published delivery first, and so on. Platforms without a published value for the metric being ranked are listed after ranked platforms, alphabetically, marked Not Disclosed; they are never assigned a guessed position.
4. Discount figures get extra scepticism
"Up to X% off" banners, campaign logins and post-purchase cashback are not the same as a standing gift-card price below face value. We label each model explicitly. Self-reported stacking illustrations are cited as published on the official site, not independently audited.
5. Review cadence and corrections
Each page shows its data-review date (currently 2026-07-12). Platform pricing changes without notice, so official pages linked in every table remain authoritative. If you find an error, email hello@indiangiftcards.com with the official page showing the correct figure; verified corrections are applied at the next review.
6. What this site is not
Indian Gift Cards is an information publication. It is not a payment intermediary, financial adviser or issuer, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy gift cards or open accounts. Currently tracking 10 platforms; inclusion is based on retail relevance in India.
